Name: "The Haunted" Erik Holland
Hometown: Silent Hill
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 303 lbs.
Archetype: Hardcore/Traditional/Powerhouse
Attire: Erik brings the creepy by wearing a two strapped 'caveman' style wrestling singlet that completely exposes his legs; and airbrushed on the singlet is a wide variety of horrific art designs, hand-drawn by his wife Lyal "Lyric" Allen. Each singlet is one of a kind and he never wears the same one twice. Black wrist tape wraps tightly around his wrist and a black rubber elbowpad sits on his right arm. Black boots covered in thick black kickpads and heavy black eye makeup around and under his eyes finishes the outfit.
About the Character: Institutionalized at a young age and abandoned by his birth parents after they emigrated to the United States from Poland, Erik Holland (fka Erich Syzmanski) had the deck and then some stacked against him. He left the asylum at 14 after being adopted by a former Marine and his wife, and the family moved to New York. To keep his constantly racing mind at ease, Erik fell in love with science fiction, horror movies, books, and most importantly professional wrestling. After racking up championship after championship and competing all over the globe in some of the most violent matches imaginable, Erik Holland retired from wrestling to recover from his injuries and re-assess where he stood in the annals of this great sport.
He decided there's much more left to do, so after getting his body right he's returned to the ring wars at 33 years old and in the best shape of his life, deciding that he will not be satisfied until he is in EVERY conversation as a true legend of the ring. He won't mind spilling his blood, or yours, or that guy over there's, to get it done.
His “HAUNTED” persona is himself turned up to 25–if he crawled right out of your sci-fi horror movie collection. Campy, spooky interviews, frightening ring appearance and a hard hitting, all offense style.
Entrance Music: "Autonomous Combat System" by Fear Factory (Invasion of the Body Snatchers intro)
Pic Base: Sami Callihan
Entrance Details: The lights suddenly completely shut off as a black and white film appears on the screen; us science-fic buffs will notice it's part of the Invasion of the Body Snatchers trailer. We hear the panicked voice of Dr. Miles Bennell; and the crowd HITS THEIR FEET, cheering so loud it's almost drowning it out.
"Will you tell these fools I'm NOT CRAZY! Make them listen to me before it's too late!
...Listen to me. Please listen. If you don't, if you won't; if you fail to understand, then the same incredible terror that's menacing me will STRIKE AT YOU!"
Out of nowhere, Autonomous Combat System absolutely DETONATES over the loudspeaker, reducing the stage to a red-strobing mosh pit as Erik Holland shoves his way through the curtain, goggles shining in the inky red-ness, tugging at his hair, tugging at his beard as he staggers up and down the stage, imploring the raging crowd to cheer even louder; but at the same time almost looking like he's arguing with himself. Once the lyrics start, Erik ROARS and makes a beeline for the ring, pinballing off the fans to tag hands with them, let them slap his back, whatever it takes to whip the audience in attendance into a complete frenzy. Every now and then down the ramp he stops, turning around in a lazy circle, taking it all in before racing off again.
He dives under the ropes once he gets to ringside, crawling on his belly toward the hard camera. He pulls the lenses of the welding goggles off his eyes so we can see that demented gleam burning in those brown irises, then he mugs for the camera shouting indistinct threats--even chewing on the bottom rope--before he bursts to his feet and hits the opposite side ropes, THROWING his hands out and receiving flashbulbs in response. Holland whips his coat off, tossing it out into the first row and does the same with his goggles, staring out under that eye makeup and proud of how completely insane his fans are, before he settles into the corner, that eerie look of focus taking over. The lights finally come up.
Moves:
Knife Edge Chop (Treat it like Gunther's chops. He hits you as HARD as he possibly can)
Big Boot
German Suplex
Forearm Smash
Belly to Belly Overhead Suplex
Powerslam
Spinebuster
Sidewalk Slam
Butterfly Suplex
Neckbreaker
Signature/Signatures: Panic Attack - Running Facewash. Hits this as often as for example Roman Reigns would hit his Superman Punch, so he goes for it anytime he has an opportunity and is willing to spam several in a row.
Sleeper Hold - Doesn't ever finish a match with this, but instead uses it as a setup hold for one of his three finishers.
Damnation Alley - Damian Priest's "South of Heaven" Falling Chokeslam.
Death Race 2000 - Pop Up Powerbomb
Finisher/Finishers:
The Toxic Avenger - Death Valley Driver. This is his primary finisher. Usually set up with the Sleeper Hold but not always.
Limbic Resonance - Piledriver. Sets this up with the Sleeper Hold.
Lariat - Added this move to his arsenal upon his return; uses it when the opponent is able to kick out of Limbic Resonance and he is desperate to finish the match without hitting the Toxic Avenger. Again, can set this up with his Sleeper Hold.
