THE STUFF THAT THE FANS KNOW ABOUT, BUT THE OTHER WRESTLERS DON'T.
Aboard the USS Space Hopper…
Sometime in the distant future, the middle-aged versions of the XBI members are jostled about by the unnatural rocking of the space vessel. The unsettling rumble of weapons fire echoes throughout the interior.
CruZe: "Well, that didn't work. Any more bright ideas, Max?"
MaX: "Well, we had to do something to stop them from destroying the galaxy."
J-Truth: "I told you THEY were coming!"
MaX: "I think I remember that. That was waaaay back in 2022, right?"
CruZe: "And everyday since."
J-Truth: "THEY just ran late, that's all."
Another weapons blast scores a direct hit on the ship. Sparks fly from select consoles, and everyone is knocked to the floor. The lights go out. Eventually, they all get back to their feet.
MaX: "Damage report!"
CruZe: "Well, we have no weapons, defense screens are offline, time-drive is inoperative, and Bitcoin is down."
MaX: "How on Earth did this attack affect digital currency?"
CruZe: "It didn't. I was just checking my investment."
MaX: "Just get us out of here, CruZe!"
CruZe: "Great idea! Why didn't I think of that? Oh right, we've lost control of the engines."
J-Truth: "There is a hull breach on deck eight. Boarding parties are entering the ship. THEY are coming! This is not a drill!"
MaX: "Alright, CruZe. Take the Eternal Championship and get John and Axis out of here."
CruZe: "What about you?"
MaX: "I'll buy you some time and meet you back in 2022."
CruZe: "Not a great time for Bitcoin to take a downturn, then."
MaX: "Just go!"
The other three members of the XBI leave the command room and head to the birthing deck (where the crew quarters are located, it has nothing to do with reproduction) where CruZe keeps the Eternal Championship belt. MaX stays on the bridge as a decoy to let them escape. The story stays with MaX, which is a bit of a shame, as CruZe using the Eternal Championship is something really cool to see. He has gotten quite good at it over time.
Not long after MaX's comrades' departure, a large group of armed, uniformed adversaries floods the command center. Their weapons are all trained on MaX.
MaX: "Aw, nuts."
Aboard the Human League flagship…
MaX, bound by chains and dressed in an Orange prison uniform, is escorted to the Chief Commander's ready room. Standing behind the desk is Florian Powers, the commander of the fleet responsible for impairing Max Hopper's flying saucer and ultimately apprehending him. He is also Danny Powers' 1.25x10^2 great grandson. A familiar object catches Max Hopper's eye. The Moonstone lies on the desk next to his captor.
MaX: "So that's how you countered the WrestleVerse Title."
Florian: "Indeed, Mr. Hopper, just like you did so many years ago, and now you will have to answer for your crimes. But tell me, Mr. Hopper, why? Why do you stand in the way of humanity? Why have you betrayed your own kind?"
MaX: "You're mercilessly destroying the galaxy, guy. Look at all of the civilizations you've wiped out. Ancient, peaceful civilizations. Gone. For what?"
Florian: "For the betterment of our people. Surely, you can see that. But no matter. We have you now, and now you will face justice. We have seized all of your toys and devices. You have no means of escape."
MaX: "I still have the Truth on my side, guy."
Sometime later…
A ship lands on a desolate, rocky moon. It is nearly barren, and the atmosphere is barely habitable. The ship lands and a ramp protrudes from an opening hatchway. A procession of armed guards marches Max Hopper, still bound in chains, onto the planet. Once he is safely away from the ship, the guards back up the ramp and disappear into the prison transport from whence they came. The vessel vanishes into the night sky, leaving Max Hopper all alone on the prison moon where he will eventually go mad and use the I-Ching Book of Changes to possess his younger body.
THE STUFF THAT EVERYONE CAN SEE.
On a prison set, on a lot in Universal Studios Orlando, Florida…
The twenty-five year old body of Max Hopper sits in complete isolation on the bunk in the bar enclosed cell, cradling the WrestleVerse Championship in his hands. It is quiet enough to hear a pin drop.
MaX: "So, it has come to this. I've been in prison before, a cage in the form of a desolate moon, where I spent decades trapped by myself. All because I tried to save a few trillion lives. And now, Danny Powers, you have put me in a cage in the form of a cage… made of steel. Add to that, I have not one, but two opponents in Aiden Reynolds and Jaice Wilds. Then add to that I'll have to defend the WrestleVerse Championship again right after against either Addy A or KPN. And if that weren't bad enough, I'm not allowed to use any of the tactics that even the odds for me here in WrestleVerse. In fact, I don't even have to lose in the first fall to lose my title! I guess my buddy CruZe is right, Danny Powers is trying to stack the deck against us. Lucky for me I won't need anything to even the odds."
MaX stands up from the bunk, setting the WrestleVerse Championship belt on the pillow of the bunk.
MaX: "What everybody in WrestleVerse so conveniently forgets is that I'm a very skilled wrestler. My high flying abilities are next to none. The same goes for my tactics.
"Nearly everyone in the Fatal Cage Match has seemingly gotten their hands on a magic lamp with a jinn inside. Three of them have been gifted the opportunity to be in this match without really earning it, just like they had their deepest wish granted to them.
"Jaice Wilds came in and beat TJ Alexander, a man I had already defeated, and then immediately was put in a Number One Contenders Match against Kylie Sinclair. The guy is talented, sure, and comes with a good reputation, just like Addy A and KPN.
"And neither of those two had to beat anyone before being put in this match. In fact, has KPN even had a win at all yet? She goes on Twitter saying she'll break my face, all because of the hostility she has against my buddy CruZe… The same buddy who served her a loss in her first match in WrestleVerse. If she couldn't beat the guy she has it out for, she surely won't be able to focus enough to win the WrestleVerse Championship. She'll be too distracted."
MaX suddenly turns his head and points.
MaX: "Oh look, CruZe's face is burnt onto that piece of toast!
"Then there's Addy A. Admittedly, she and Jaice will probably be the two biggest threats to my title reign, Jaice in the first fall and Addy is probably going to be who I face in the second. I just hope she doesn't try anything disgusting on me. I've had a torrid affair with a mermaid. Addy A is not my type. Can I use #MeToo if she does try anything?"
MaX puts his hand on his chin, pondering.
MaX: "And for all the shade that's been thrown at me, there's the one guy who has an actual reason to be sore at me, Aiden Reynolds, the guy I beat for the WrestleVerse Championship when I successfully cashed in the Moonstone, which I had to beat Quinn Castillo for in a match on the moon.
"Aiden, I know you probably want nothing more than to get your hands on me and win back the WrestleVerse Championship at Fatal at Universal Studios, Orlando. You were probably surprised when I cashed in. At least, you seemed to be."
MaX wags his finger and tuts.
MaX: "But you shouldn't have been. You knew I was coming for your title. I even said as much on Eternal 3. What you need is peril sensitive sunglasses that go pitch black whenever danger is near, because even though I forecasted it, you still didn't see it coming. So there's just no way you're walking out of Fatal as the WrestleVerse Champion.
"None of you will stop the XBI now, because for all that's stacked against us, the TRUTH is on our side!"
Max Hopper wraps his fingers around the bars of the cell as the scene fades away.
